The BMP 8500 BOMAG compactor has a variable working width of 24 to 33.5 inches and is powered by a 19.4-horsepower Kubota D 1005 diesel engine.
The compactor features an improved radio remote control that can be paired with any BMP 8500 compactor using the “teach” function. Multiple trench rollers can be operated simultaneously without the need to coordinate or adjust individual radio frequencies. Two batteries are also standard for the remote control, delivering a operation time of up to 40 hours.
Built for operation in confined applications, the BMP 8500 features the integrated BOMAG Operator Safety System (BOSS) that automatically shuts down the machine if it comes too close to the operator.
BOMAG ECONMOZIER also recognizes soft spots in the fill to avoid unnecessary passes.
