Two Killed in Crash with Concrete Truck in Indiana

Police have confirmed that two people died in a three-vehicle crash in Mechanicsburg on Friday morning.

Both were pronounced dead at the crash site. At least one other person was taken via ambulance to a hospital, but their condition was not immediately available.

The crash occurred just before 10:30 a.m. at Blubaugh Avenue, according to police scanner traffic.

The vehicles involved were a concrete truck, a service van, and an SUV that overturned and was occupied by both of the deceased.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office called a chaplain to comfort family members of the deceased who visited the crash site.

Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the victims and are still notifying family.

Boone County Coroner Justin Sparks said he will release more information as it becomes available.

The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating, as is standard for fatal crashes.

Four fatal crashes have claimed nine lives in Boone County 2025. Three of the crashes claimed two lives each.
