Trimble SiteVision and BladePro 3D

Sept. 28, 2010

Trimble has two basic three-dimensional machine-control systems, SiteVision and BladePro 3D. SiteVison is a GPS-only system, which, says Trimble, is accurate to 30 mm (0.1 foot) and allows operators to perform bulk earthwork in a "stakeless environment." The BladePro 3D system functions either as a GPS system or as a local positioning system (LPS) when used with a Trimble robotic total station. In its LPS mode, this system provides vertical accuracy of ± 10 mm (± 0.03 foot), says the company.
