The Notched Wedge Joint Maker is designed to improve the integrity of longitudinal joints in asphalt pavement. The adjustable device mounts on the end of the screed and forms a beveled edge, which then interlocks with the adjacent lane's mat. It allows a dense, impermeable closure between adjacent mats and provides a sloped surface between new and original surfaces during construction.
