The new Idle Guard 200 from Transportation Safety Technologies is a solid-state timer that can be retrofitted to on- and off-highway machines to automatically prevent unnecessary engine idling. The Idle Guard 200 can be used with vehicles having either gas or diesel engines, or with manual or automatic transmissions. The device is activated either by a positive or negative trigger signal from the parking brake on manual-transmission vehicles or the park/neutral switch on automatic-transmission vehicles.

The Idle Guard 200 is offered in three models allowing engine shut off after 3, 5 or 15 minutes, either via the fuel shut off with a diesel, or by the ignition with a gas engine.
