Leica says its PowerBlade automatic grade controller combines the functions of three different control panels while adding the capability to control a proportional valve (with both current and voltage) to get the most out of any machine. It provides a complete range of capabilities and options with a single panel. PowerBlade offers top-line 1D laser grade control performance for any budget. The same panel used with an optional power mast adds easy grade adjustments from the cab and survey capability for land-leveling. A step-lift feature lets the operator temporarily change grade, such as for layering, and return to the original grade setting with the flip of a switch. Estimated list price: $3,500 to $9,000.
