Two Dead Following Pennsylvania Dump Truck Crash

Worker suffered a medical emergency and ran over fellow worker.

Two men are dead Wednesday after one reportedly suffered a medical emergency while driving a dump truck at a Wayne County, Penn. construction company when that vehicle hit and killed another worker.

According to a report from WNEP.com, authorities say Brian Edwards, 51, of Honesdale, was driving the dump truck at Wayco Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Palmyra Township around 11:30 a.m. when he fell unconscious, causing the dump truck to roll backward and hit James Martzen, 72, of Waymart.

Martzen and Edwards died as a result. The coroner's office pronounced both men dead at about 1 p.m. 

Autopsies for both men are scheduled for this Friday.

The deadly crash remains under investigation in Wayne County.
