A construction worker was killed in Stockton, California, work zone and a woman has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, driving under the influence, and hit and run.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the worker was hit on Highway 4, east of Interstate 5. Caltrans says the 34-year-old worker from Lone Pine was a contractor working with them, according to a report by ABC10.
CHP says a 21-year-old Stockton woman drove through the cones and into the construction zone.
