AutoPave machine control technology from joint venture company Topcon/Sauer Danfoss does not require a total station, which enables users to moves multiple machines without regard to sight lines. Users can accurately control the x, y, and z axis down to within a millimeter, the company says. One transmitter works with multiple GPS receivers. Price is $100,000 for the machine control components and a start-up cost of $50,000 for jobsite surveying equipment.
