Topcon’s IP-S2 Compact+ is a mobile mapping system designed to accurately measure objects in adverse weather conditions and enclosed job sites such as tunnels and mines.
It incorporates high-precision GNSS receivers, an IMU (inertial measurement unit), vehicle wheel encoders, a 360-degree camera, and laser scanners. Topcon says the new vehicle-mounted system has improved scanner orientation to optimize visibility of roadside assets and is packaged in a compact system that fits on a car or truck. The system is available in two configurations: a three-scanner standard model, or a five-scanner system.
