Topcon's GTS-810 robotic system has radio-free infrared communications. Combined with the RC-2 quick lock device, the system eliminates potential radio interference or licensing requirements. Replacing model GTS-800, the new system offers 10 degrees per second tracking speed and a new 5-inch angle-accuracy model. Distance measurement ranges to 7,200 feet to a single prism, and tilt compensating ranges to 4 feet. Measurement takes 1.2 seconds. Estimated list price: $26,000 to $30,000. Topcon's GTS-810
