A new line of automated welders from Climax includes the AutoBore Welder models 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000. With these welders, operators can simultaneously weld one set of bores while machining another. Welder design combines all controls into a single, remote pendant from which wire speed, voltage/current, direction of rotation and other functions are controlled. The AutoBoreWelding System has simplified the welding process so that inexperienced operators can become proficient bore welders in less than a day, says the company. Estimated list price: $13,500 to $14,000.
