Top 100: Low Amp Draw

Sept. 28, 2010

With Auto-Line technology to ensure a consistent output voltage even though primary input voltage may fluctuate, Miller Electric's XMT 350 CC/CV multi-process inverter provides a primary power draw of 17.8 amps at a rated output of 460 VAC. The low-amp draw permits the use of smaller fuses/breakers and primary wiring. Also, operators can add more power sources without altering incoming service. The 80-pound unit offers 24 percent more power than the ALT 304 it replaces. Deposition rates are also improved. Estimated list price: $3,776.
