Caterpillar Paving’s 400E- and 600E-Series vibratory soil-compactors compete in the 6.3- to 8.7-ton class and 17.6- to 20.9-ton class, respectively. All machines feature the Cat dual-pump propel system, which provides separate hydraulic flow to the rear wheels and the drum for excellent tractive effort and allows for superior control on a grade in forward or reverse. Dual amplitude comes standard on Cat high-production machines. Maximum centrifugal force (400E-Series) in high amplitude is 30,000 pounds and 15,000 pounds in low. The 600E-Series has a force of 74,600 pounds in high amplitude and 37,300 pounds in low. All models have design enhancements that increase performance, serviceability, reliability and comfort.
