Prinoth has unveiled a vehicle designed to transport very large loads with less personnel and less impact on the environment in freezing temperatures. According to the company, they have also aimed to reduce overall operational costs through lower fuel consumption, and reduced total time of transport.
With this project, Prinoth says is excited to develop vehicle solutions that are highly specialized, while still keeping safety a “paramount priority” considering the crude climate of the Antarctic.
Members from the Prinoth engineering team will travel to Antarctica at the beginning of the summer season later this fall to optimize the vehicle’s performance, and offer training to mechanics working in the field for the unit maintenance.
