Robert’s brother, a tower crane operator, wanted a way to alert workers below the crane’s load when it was above their heads. Robert invented a wireless warning system that attaches to the hook-block.
“He recognized that safety measures/equipment could be drastically improved in many areas on site by using technology now available as never before,” says Debra Jean, president, DGB Consulting.

Professional accomplishments: Successfully brought SkyHorn from prototype to a manufactured product that is now installed on more than 40 tower cranes.
Off the clock: Reading, specifically philosophy.
Extracurricular: A mission trip to Costa Rica impacted how I view the world. It was the motivation to start building safety products.
