The new ZIP-V™ Electric Chain Hoist from Morris Material Handling, Inc., has lifting capacities from 1/8 to 5 tons, and is available in various speeds and frequencies. It has an epoxy paint finish that is 80 microns thick and an Electro-Zinc plated load chain for corrosion resistance. The five-pocket load wheel provides smoother lifting, more accurate load positioning, and longer chain life. The ZIP-V has a standard chain container designed to resist oil and dirt and keep excess chain clear of moving parts to prevent snags or damage to the lift.

The ZIP-V is equipped with a slip clutch that protects the operator and equipment from dangerous overloads. The variable frequency speed drive, one of three speeds available, offers minimum and maximum speed settings for reduced wear on equipment and dynamic braking for smooth stops and extended brake life.

Other features include: trolley brake, bumpers, drop lugs, outdoor weather protection, special hoist control, food grade specifications, and a thermal protected hoist motor. The ZIP-V is also available in a single phase unit, with lifting capacities from 1/8 to 1 ton.
