The Hypac C810C Series single-drum rollers, which generate a centrifugal force of 19,125 pounds, achieve 55 percent gradeability—an impressive 37 percent more than predecessor models. This enhancement, says the manufacturer, is critical for trench work and embankments. Engine power is up, too, by 31 percent, and the models also incorporate a dual-pump travel system, no-spin differential in the rear axle, and a radial-piston drum-drive motor. Estimated list prices for base units: $60,900 for the C815C smooth-drum version, and $62,800 for the C812C padfoot.
