Mack PowerLeash engine brake system

Sept. 28, 2010

Available on the company's ASET engines, the PowerLeash engine brake system reaches 420 braking horsepower at 2,100 rpm. It provides near-instantaneous response, thus enhancing the downshifting performance of automated manual transmissions. An internal oil screen provides additional protection, and electrical components are located on the cooler side of the engine. Users can service injectors without removing the rocker shaft.
