Maximum percussion rates vary from 680 to 715 blows per minute (bpm). All gas-powered models use Wacker's own engines — either the two-cycle WM 80 or four-cycle WM 90 — which, says the company, are designed specifically for rammer applications. The oil-injection system used on certain two-cycle models is designed to provide a fuel-to-oil ratio of 120:1. Diesel models use a single-cylinder Yanmar engine rated at 4.1 horsepower.
