New in the Stone Construction Equipment soil-compactor line is the Rhino 66X, a 10-ton-class smooth drum vibratory roller with a 66-inch-wide drum. Fitted with a 110-hp Cummins engine, the 66X is available with either a smooth drum or padfoot drum; a padfoot conversion kit is an option. The new roller provides two amplitudes and delivers compaction forces up to 22,500 pounds in its smooth-drum configuration. The 66X features hydrostatic drive with a no-spin-differential axle, and a multi-purpose control lever allows selection of travel direction, vibration activation and amplitude setting.
