Kohler Closed-Loop EFI Engine

Kohler Engines has introduced a closed-loop, electronic fuel injection (EFI) engine with the flexibility to use all ethanol fuel blends, from E0 to E85. The new Command PRO EFI FlexFuel E85 engine constantly monitors the air/fuel mixture in the engine’s muffler and automatically adjusts the amount of fuel injected into the system. The benefits, says Kohler, include optimal fuel efficiency, improved power, increased life span and easier starting. The engine automatically senses the ethanol mix in the engine and optimizes performance accordingly, says Kohler, even if different grades are involved.
