Starting fluid is injected into the engine’s air intake system with a 36-inch stainless-steel injection probe, secured to the equipment by magnetic stanchions. The injection probe is connected to KBi’s Dieselmatic NVT starting fluid system via 60 inches of flexible stainless-steel braided tubing.

Starting fluid is injected into the engine’s air intake system with a 36-inch stainless-steel injection probe, secured to the equipment by magnetic stanchions. The injection probe is connected to KBi’s Dieselmatic NVT starting fluid system via 60 inches of flexible stainless-steel braided tubing. The starting fluid system controls and meters the quantity of starting fluid, allowing for one 21-ounce fluid cylinder to start as many as 45 locomotive-size engines.
