JP Carlton 1712 Wood Chipper

Sept. 28, 2010

At 5,400 pounds, JP Carlton’s 1712 12-inch wood chipper can towed by smaller chip trucks, and its compact frame makes it highly maneuverable in tight places. The disk-style chipper incorporates a 48-inch by 28-inch in-feed opening, allowing it to swallow tops with little or no trimming, and the 10.5-inch diameter feed rollers accept the wood with minimal wrapping. Live hydraulics help to minimize maintenance, as there is no pump belt to maintain and no side loading of the pump shaft.
