Three new dozers, the 450J, 550J and 650J, retain the Deere PowerTech engines and the dual-path hydrostatic drive systems of their predecessors, but feature new bent-axis drive motors with more torque and enhanced electronic monitoring of transmission functions. In the cab, a "Speed-in-Grip" transmission controller allows operators to tailor operation to their liking, as does the new adjustable decelerator.
