Worker Struck and Killed by Roller in New York

Clay, N.Y.—A man killed Friday in an industrial accident when he was run over by an asphalt-paving roller in a parking lot has been identified.
The man killed was Rendolph Larose, 41, of Syracuse, according to Thomas Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:53 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to the accident in the parking lot of 7421 Oswego Road. That’s the Glenn Crossing Plaza shopping center.
Larose was pronounced dead at the scene, Newton said.
The investigation is being treated as an accident and the driver of the roller is cooperating with deputies, Newton said. He declined to identify the driver.
The driver worked for Orchard Earth and Pipe of Solvay.
