According to Navman Wireless, the new OnlineAVL2 vehicle-tracking and logistics software system provides the vehicle-position and vehicle-activity information required to effectively manage a mobile workforce. The system, says Navman Wireless, supports several hybrid-mapping display options, including photo-realistic views of the vehicle’s actual surroundings, by using high-resolution satellite imagery and high aerial photography. A pop-up window allows zooming in on a vehicle for greater detail, without losing the surrounding map. The system also includes two-way messaging with vehicles; integrated navigation functions for drivers; real-time and historical vehicle/driver activity reporting; driver ID; alerts for vehicle speed, idle time, unauthorized movement and security breeches; and geo-fencing capability.
