Wausau Window and Wall Systems has moved to its new, 370,000-square-foot manufacturing center and office building on 51 acres at 7800 International Drive, Wausau, WI. The building was designed by Somerville, Inc. of Green Bay, WI, and constructed by Miron Construction Co., Inc. of Neenah, WI, to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC’s) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Silver-level certification. Green and LEED-rated buildings also have shown reductions in carbon emissions by 35 percent, water use by 50 percent, and construction waste by 50 percent. The new manufacturing center showcases energy-efficient and sustainable building products manufactured by the company and its sibling businesses: Linetec, Tubelite and Viracon.
