The new SNAKE™+ overhead anchor from Powers Fasteners, Inc. has received ICC-ESR2272 approval for strength design (Cracked Concrete).
The anchor is simply set into a drilled hole and then tightened with a ½ impact wrench until flush with the ceiling and ready for the insertion of a threaded rod. It eliminates the steps of banging in a drop-in and then using a special tool to set the expansion mechanism. There is no need to swing a heavy hammer overhead while on a ladder or lift.
The SNAKE+ also combines the aesthetics of an internally threaded body with the strong holding power of the popular Powers Wedge-Bolt anchor and its deep-cutting thread design.
