David Ryzyi Joins Mannik & Smith

David A. Ryzyi, P.E., has joined The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc., a provider of consulting engineering services, announced Brian P. Geer, P.E., senior vice president for Mannik & Smith.

Ryzyi joins MSG after retiring from the Wayne County Department of Public Services where he served for over 25 years. He most recently served as the division permit engineer where he supervised and administrated the Permit Office with jurisdiction over permitting and enforcement of the county's Storm Water Management Program, design and construction for all new subdivisions, and all permit work within any Wayne County road right of way, drain or park. Ryzyi received his civil engineering degree from Michigan Technological University.

In his new position, Ryzyi will serve as operations manager/senior project manager working out of MSG's Canton Township office. He will assist MSG in continuing to grow with responsibilities in project management, operations and business development.

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. has also announced that Wendy Fry, A.L.S.A., C.L.A.R.B., director of sustainability and landscape architecture for the firm, has achieved the status of L.E.E.D. A.P. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) with the United States Green Building Council's accreditation program.

"Wendy has already demonstrated her expertise in sustainable site design through her involvement in the restoration of Ford's Rouge Center and the creation of Fairlane Green and Toyota's York Township Technical Center," said John S. Browning III, P.E., senior vice president for Mannik & Smith. "With her accreditation, Mannik & Smith will be able to better assist our clients by developing state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development." Fry joined The Mannik & Smith Group in June 2004 as a landscape architect.
