Jan. 12, 2011

New to the U.S. market, Grove’s GMK6300L all-terrain crane features a 262-foot, seven-section Twin-Lock boom that can lift 13 tons; optional 121-foot jib is available for additional reach. Maximum length is 384 feet, and the crane can still lift 2.2 tons at that height. The machine is claimed to be the first to offer a fully automatic Allison transmission with torque converter. An integral retarder provides enhanced braking capabilities.
