The low working profile of the Gradall boom also allows the mobile carrier to be positioned to work under limb obstructions, which is not always possible with a conventional knuckle boom.

Powered by the excavator's tool cylinder and controlled by joysticks in the operator’s cab, the tree limb shear attachment can typically cut through large branches measuring 8 or 10 inches in diameter.
