The full tilting action of the Gradall excavator’s telescoping boom allows the operator to place the company’s new tree limb shear attachment at the correct angle to productively trim branches and limbs that extend over roadways. The low working profile of the Gradall boom also allows the mobile carrier to be positioned to work under limb obstructions, which is not always possible with a conventional knuckle boom. Powered by the excavator's tool cylinder and controlled by joysticks in the operator’s cab, the tree limb shear attachment can typically cut through large branches measuring 8 or 10 inches in diameter.
