BTI TB-XC Series

Sept. 28, 2010

The new TB-XC Series boxed-housing breakers from Breaker Technology Inc. are available in impact classes from 1,100 to 13,500 foot-pounds. These models incorporate only two internal moving parts and use a new "throttle-orificing" technique that provides hydraulic cushioning for protecting the breaker and carrier hydraulic system from pressure pulsations. The boxed housing, which suspends the breaker body on all sides with compressed polyurethane isolators, is designed to protect the carrier boom from recoil energy, reduce vibration and also to reduce noise. An increased oil-flow working range allows use of the same breaker on a wide selection of host machines.
