The Danuser T7 Hornet is a post driver that utilizes a hydraulic jack hammer-style power cell that offers controlled high-speed driving performance.
It drives T-posts up to 7 inches diameter posts/pipes with 500-900 strikes/minute and compares to the 750-lb.-ft. energy class. The model T8-RR drives T-posts up to 8 inches diameter posts/pipes (it can also drive railroad ties with optional RR tie-driving tool) at 400-800 strikes/minute and compares to the 1,150-lb.-ft. energy class. The hydraulic grapple option allows one person to pick up, load, and drive posts, the company says. Hornet drivers come standard with a flow control valve, allowing the driver to run it on skid steers and compact track loaders with hydraulic flows up to 30 gpm. Tool-less quick change feature eases swapping driving tools without hammer or punch. An additional weight kit lets operators fine-tune driver weight to match vehicle operating capacity.
