The Tier-3-certified Kobelco SK260LC Acera Mark 8, powered by a 181-horsepower Iveco by FPT diesel with intercooler, delivers more horsepower and a 14 percent increase in engine torque. Swing torque on the new machine has also been increased by 10 percent. The 57,300-pound machine digs to 23 feet and reaches 33 feet 3 inches at surface level. Kobelco’s auto-acceleration system increases engine speed and hydraulic flow in proportion to the operator’s movement of the control levers, resulting in even acceleration.
