The MG2 roadway-lighting breakaway system provides protection against dust and allows for continuous submersion in up to 6 feet of water when capped or mated. The system consists of a molded distribution block, a fused pole plug with waterproof replaceable fuses and a surge arrester. The pole cable will disconnect if the pole falls over, leaving the female plug above ground to help eliminate fires and other hazards.
