Vancouver, Wash.— For the third straight year, a stretch of property along Mill Plain Boulevard between 172nd and 192nd avenues in Vancouver will host the annual Dozer Day event on May 19. The hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.

Dozer Day, which benefits The Parks Foundation, drew more than 12,000 people and raised about $65,000 at the Columbia Tech Center site last year. During the event, children had the opportunity to operate nearly 100 pieces of construction machinery, from the smallest skid steers to massive excavators, pavers, articulated haulers, and, of course, dozers. At each running machine, a licensed operator was in the cab to help them understand how it works.

The Parks Foundation provides resources in support of parks, trails and recreational opportunities throughout Clark County.
