St. Louis— Clayco is building a new 420,000-square-foot speculative warehouse in downtown St. Louis — making it one of the largest new distribution facilities in the city in years. The $12.6-million project, located at 6500 Prescott, requires the demolition of three buildings over several weeks.

The North Broadway Distribution Center is scheduled for completion in October. Clayco and Forum Studio Inc. are design-building the speculative warehouse using conventional tilt-up concrete over structural steel. Balke Brown Associates is the developer and owner of the project. Other project participants are Frontenac Engineering, civil engineer; and Alper Audi, structural engineer.
