Caterpillar Oil

Sept. 28, 2010

Designed for diesels powering on-highway trucks and earthmoving equipment, this oil is the preferred oil for Cat engines. Benefits include soot dispersancy to enhance oil flow to engine parts, oxidation stability to reduce sludge and viscosity in high temperature conditions, piston deposit control for steel and aluminum pistons. It also reduces fuel and oil consumption, and provides for longer filter life.
Mixed fleets can use the same oil in all engines, gas or diesel, for simplified inventory and dispersings systems. According to Cat, the oil is designed and tested to more severe and exacting levels than those used in API standards.
