Nov. 5, 2015

Models M314F and M316F wheeled excavators have 141-horsepower, Tier 4 Cat C4.4 ACERT engines, and the M322F has a 169-horsepower, Tier 4 Cat 7.1 ACERT engine. The engines have DOCs and the M322F has a DPF.

Operating weights ranges are 31,658 to 35,164 pounds for the M314F; 33,973 to 38,559 pounds for the M316F; and  45,330 to 54,450 for the M322F.

Other features include dedicated swing pump, hydraulically driven cooling fan, Cat Smartboom, ride control, joystick steering, and load-sensing hydraulics.

Compared to the previous units, the redesigned cab has higher pressurization, a larger door with added glass, and a new windshield with parallel wipers. Standard are a rearview camera in the counterweight and a right-side camera with separate in-cab monitor. The standard lighting package includes a counterweight light, three cabin-mounted working lights, and a light on the boom.

An automatic system, when enabled by the operator, senses machine parameters and locks the axle-oscillation function and sets the service brakes, readying the machine to dig. A new travel-lock system, which is engaged via a switch on the panel, combines implement-stop and swing-lock functions.
