Case CX130C and CX160C excavators have been upgraded to Tier 4-Interim engines that increase fuel economy up to 8 percent and 5 percent, respectively, compared to B Series predecessors. Improvements in the units’ Intelligent Hydraulic System increase lift capacity by 4 percent in the CX130C and 2 percent in the CX160C; cycle time is reduced by 3 percent in the CX160C. Boom Economy Control lowers rpm during boom down and swing operation, and Auto Economy Control lower rpm when joysticks are inactive. Swing Relief Control manages hydraulic power allotted at the start of swing, and Spool Stroke Control creates automatic pressure adjustment during digging.
