The latest in Case's CX range of excavators, the CX700 fills the gap between the CX460 and CX800 and is the first Case excavator to have an electronic-controlled engine to Tier 3 specifications. The electronic engine-management system constantly monitors the temperature in the cooling, oil, air-inlet and fuel systems. Fuel injectors are adjusted to give maximum fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Cooling-fan speed is also adjusted to maintain optimum engine temperatures. The machine is rated at 463 horsepower and has an operating weight of 152,000 pounds.
