Atlas Copco SmartROC T45 Drill with GNSS Navigation

Aug. 18, 2015

The SmartROC T45 hammer drill rig has a site-navigation system based on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The unit does line drilling and blastholes up to 5 inches in diameter.

The Autofeed Alignment works with GNSS to ensure holes are drilled precisely parallel and within 10 centimeters accuracy, the company says. Benefits include wider shot patterns; control of fracture size, fly-rock and particle velocity; and fewer holes for savings on labor and consumables, the company says.

The unit’s engine produces 325 horsepower at 1,900 rpm, and the drill has free air delivery of 472 cfm at 175 psi.
