Atlas Copco Elemex Drill

Sept. 28, 2010

Elemex is a drilled-casing system designed to control compressed air to flush cuttings, while preserving the integrity of the overburden. Atlas Copco says the air pressure is decreased just enough to allow the bit face to be efficiently flushed, and impact to the surrounding ground is significantly reduced. In addition, because Elemex controls air-flushing intensity, no special operator’s training is required.
