Mobile surface drill rig, named Easer, can boxhole bore and downream to 29 inches in diameter, as well as perform conventional raiseboring to 47 inches in diameter. It can drill to 200 feet using standard 8-inch boring rods with a 9-inch pilot drill bit. To switch from boxhole boring to downreaming, the gearbox is rotated 180 degrees, an operation that the company says can be carried out in an underground workshop.
