The Warrior Group has announced that Mobile/Modular Express, Inc., headquartered in Edgewood, MD, purchased the assets of Miller Building Systems, Inc. (MBSI). Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Warrior Group, based in DeSoto, TX, is a multimillion-dollar provider of premier construction services focusing on construction management for conventional and permanent modular construction. The 11-year old company is one of the largest SBA, 8(a) minority- and woman-owned construction services companies with more than 1,000 successfully completed projects to its credit and an impressive roster of private and public sector clients across the United States. Warrior Group purchased majority ownership of Miller Building Systems in 2006.

Founded in 1983, Miller was a recognized leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of commercial modular buildings, mobile office trailers and durable structures for the telecommunications industry. Mobile/Modular Express, Inc. is a manufacturer of quality constructed mobile office trailers and modular buildings for commercial applications. Originally started in 1989 as a retail dealer, the company marketed products fabricated at other manufacturing facilities.

“The divestiture of our ownership interest in Miller will allow us to continue focusing on our core competency of providing construction management services for both conventional and modular construction,” said Gail Warrior-Lawrence, president and CEO of Warrior Group. “We are also intent on continuing to build our presence in the Southeastern, Midwestern and Northeastern markets of the United States.”
