The Vacuworx PS 1—a compact, portable, vacuum-operated lifting system with a capacity of up to 1,700 pounds—incorporates a number of recent refinements, including a 12V, 22-amp/hour, rechargeable battery that integrates an "intelligent, full-floating charging system." The 3.5-amp charger will fully recharge the battery in 8 hours or less, without overcharging, and features an LED display to indicate charging level. The battery provides approximately 6 to 8 hours of run time (intermittent operation).
The PS 1's vacuum pump has been "updated" to draw less power from the battery, while providing increased vacuum to the pad. New also is an inline filter with a replaceable element. The 25-pound PS 1 can be fitted with one of three standard, interchangeable pads: 8 x 12 inches with 693-pound lifting capacity; 12 x 16 inches with 1,276-pound lifting capacity; and 16 x 16 inches with 1,654-pound lifting capacity). The PS 1 lift dolly, with a lifting capacity of 600 pounds, is available separately.
