Michigan City, Ind.— The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says the State Road 212 bridge rehabilitation project over the South Shore railroad tracks in Michigan City is scheduled for completion this summer. INDOT awarded the contract for the project to Superior Construction, Gary, Ind.
The original bridge over the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District South Shore tracks was built in 1972. According to INDOT, the project has involved the replacement of part of the substructure, the entire superstructure and the entire bridge deck.
