After 12 years doing site design for a civil engineering company, Murguia started Quantum Land Design, in 2013, specializing in machine control. He then added a second company, AeroView Services, which specializes in UAV services and data processing.

Professional accomplishments: One of the first companies in the U.S. to obtain an FAA 333 Exemption to fly UAVs for topographic surveys, using a Trimble UX5. Flew Caterpillar’s Edwards Demonstration Center to take the existing site topography and create civil designs for demonstrating their latest equipment and technology, with a heavy focus on drones and GPS machine control.
Off the clock: Our favorite vacation was to Belize with my wife and daughter. We stayed at a small resort with no cell reception and very poor Internet. The time offline was priceless.
Extracurricular: We have been fortunate enough to donate time and money to a few local cancer charities. We have also donated our professional services to several research projects across the country that focus on sustainable & organic farming practices.
