TruTV and YouTube have given us almost unrestricted access to wacky behavior. But a couple of videos making the rounds this week should bring pause to anyone involved with equipment.

First, we have a young man using his firm's aerial work platform for a beer run.

Then we have a bus driver clearing a road obstruction.

In both, the operators presumed to use equipment to accomplish a seemingly innocuous task. In both, each put themselves and others in potential danger because they didn't think past the task at hand.

For those of us who have been around heavy equipment, the potential for disaster here is breathtaking.
